There are times when we all feel that we cannot cope. Sometimes we might feel overwhelmed and not know how to get through it on our own. But who can you turn to when you're struggling this way? The short answer is that you don't have to face difficult feelings on your own. Whether you have a mental health issue or just need some help getting through a particularly tough time there is always someone to turn to.

I am a Clinical Psychologist, which means that I can use a range of psychological models to tailor therapy to your specific needs. One of the advantages of using the services of a Clinical Psychologist is that I don't work to one specific therapeutic model and this means that if you've tried psychological therapy before and not found it helpful I may be able to offer something different that you might find more useful. I take referrals from most private healthcare providers, and can also accept personal referrals for individual, family, and couples therapy. At various times there may also be group therapies available, for example a group for depression, or anxiety. Please enquire using the contact information on the right or by using the form under the Contact tab.

Why see a Psychologist?

A Psychologist is a senior mental health professional with extensive training in a range of psychological models and approaches. At a minimum Clinical Psychologists, like myself, hold a number of years experience seeing clients with a wide range of issues, difficulties and mental health problems across the lifespan. We have also completed at least 6 years of study in psychology. We are trained to doctoral level and receive supervision from other Clinical Psychologists throughout our careers to ensure safe and evidence-based practice. We are held to high standards of ethics and professional practice and are a regulated profession. Many other professions offer counselling or types of psychological therapy, but none offer the training and experience like that of a Psychologist.
